Hal Moggridge, OBE, will introduce Brenda Colvin’s small (half an acre) garden, the Colvin & Moggridge practice and its history with one or two drawings shown. The garden at Little Peacocks, now Colvin & Moggridge’s office garden, was Brenda Colvin’s own garden made from 1956 onwards. It shows her skill in organising spaces with walls, trees, shrubs, bulbs; colours and textures of foliage; the garden has been kept close to Brenda Colvin’s original design as an historic example from the 1960s–70s. There is an extensive spring bulb collection. Coffee/tea will be provided.

Wheelchair accessible, though not the toilets (unless up 3 steps and then 2 metres on foot is possible). Maximum 20.

Nearest train station Swindon; S1 Bus Oxford to Carterton. Then taxi to Filkins. There is ample parking space in the road as well as 6 spaces in the office yard (though these are nicer not used during a visit unless no road space is available). Little Peacocks, Filkins, West Oxfordshire, GL7 3JQ
