The AGM will be held in St Hugh’s Centre, Hensington Rd., Woodstock (the same as last year), on Thursday 29 October at 6pm.

This illustrated talk will follow the AGM. It focuses on how women became accepted as professional gardeners in the late 19th and 20th centuries. This includes an examination of the role played by Gertrude Jekyll and the training by horticultural colleges for women. Colleges include Glynde School for Lady Gardeners, Swanley Horticultural College for Women and Waterperry Horticultural School for Women.

It’s  an excellent venue, with good facilities, and we provide a speaker and refreshments.  We were pleased to reinstate ‘in person’ meetings last year, at the request of members, and we hope for a good attendance this year, repeating what was an enjoyable social occasion.

Cost £10, to cover drinks and snacks.
