The group will be met on arrival by the Head Gardener, and after a brief introductory talk, we will be free to explore the gardens at will.  The history of this private garden dates back to 1620: set in 40 acres of parkland, farmland and open meadow, it’s substantial transformation over the last 25 years led it to win the ‘Best development of a historic park or garden’ awarded by the European Garden Heritage Network in 2018/9. Tom Stuart-Smith was commissioned to transform a six acre south facing field into a walled garden in 2001.

Coffee/tea and biscuits will be available.
